The Mission of the Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department is to enrich the community, through the provision of services, facilities, programs, and events to improve the quality of life, for all residents, here in Douglas County.

The Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department does not discriminate in any programs or activities on the basis of sex, race, creed, religion, color, national origin, age, veteran or military status, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, disability, or the use of a trained dog guide or service animal and provides equal access to the Boy Scouts and other designated youth groups.

Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department welcomes you to explore nearly 2,000 acres of park land and other recreation facilities in Douglas County. You will have no difficulty finding an activity that suits your interest.
